Your dns record DN in AD should be:

DC=dns-ad01,DC=samdom.example.com,CN=MicrosoftDNS,DC=DomainDnsZones,DC=samdom,DC=example,DC=com

Do you have this in AD ?

Are these Windows clients ?

Can you post your smb.conf from the DC.
