For some reason the samba port on FreeBSD-12 does not point to the default
location for nsupdate.

Name    : bind-tools-9.16.3
Desc    : Command line tools from BIND: delv, dig, host, nslookup...
Repo    : FreeBSD
Filename: usr/local/man/man1/nsupdate.1.gz
          usr/local/bin/nsupdate

So I have done this:

ln -s /usr/local/bin/nsupdate /usr/bin/nsupdate

Which appears to have resolved that issue.  I made a report to the samba port
maintainer.
