Thanks for your invaluable help.
I proceeded as advised and installed the patched packages. Still an error though, debug.txt attached.

Hai Alexander,
I had a quick look, sorry for all the absence but im very buzzy atm with some office work.
A quick howto for add this in the "debian" way.
If you run apt-get source against my repo, all sources are there.
So.
apt-get source samba
cd samba-4.11.6+dfsg/debian/patches
Add the patch-file here.
editor series
Add the name of the patch on the bottem.
Now, to make sure your patch is in the package you rename the package in the changelog.
cd ..
editor changelog
Rename this : samba (2:4.11.6+dfsg-0.1buster1)
To
samba (2:4.11.6+dfsg-0.1buster1.1)
That makes sure if im upgradeing or adding patches your in the upgrade path again of my repo.
If i add new patches, my packages are named : samba (2:4.11.6+dfsg-0.1buster2)
2:4.11.6+dfsg-0 - official debian nameing
2:4.11.6+dfsg-0.1 - my addition, and note, 0. is not released by debian anything as of -1 is.
After above change.
cd ../..
apt-get build-dep samba
apt-get source samba -b
Because samba is already extacted, it will pickup the current dir incl the changes.
And build the new packages.
Now of manually install them, of setup a local repo and add them there.
Good luck,
If the patch works out, i'll add it to my packages.
Greetz,
Louis
