[Samba] Getent doesn't show AD users/groups

As I know “search” is for domain suffixes to search if no “dot” is given in host name string to resolve…
Does Alex have a server1.example.com as domain name (strange) or is it a FQDN of host?
If last, it should be just

“search example.com”

Could be it helps Samba somehow, but will mess other services.

For simple “ping myhost” the search will test for just “myhost” and then for “myhost.server1.example.com”
