[Samba] Share inaccessible intermittently and often - restarting smb cures for short time

The thing about us being the only ones was kind of tongue and cheek hence the smiley :) .. and was only because of no response.  

I will be happy to help where I can providing logs and testing etc.. but I'm no programmer and as such I'm not the person to try and troubleshoot.  I would consider myself a user of the product.  

As far as running on a previous version I'm not too concerned about that since I am running this on a private network behind a firewall.  It has no exposure to the internet and so I'm not too concerned about exploits.  I just want the server to function for my users.
