[Samba] samba-tool domain member join?

The wiki suggests using samba-tool to create a DC for a new domain as 
well as for joining a DC to an existing domain.  Both of these methods 
create the smb.conf.  Is it possible to do the same for joining as a 
domain member?  The wiki suggest setting up the smb.conf and then using 
net ads join.  But there is a member option to the samba-tool domain 
join command, does it work?
