Samba 3 is dead, so if it is a problem with Samba 3, you have zero 
chance of getting it fixed.

Just in case you have missed it, SMB1 is disappearing fast, it is bound 
to totally disappear, so you should upgrade.

In the meantime, can you post your smb.conf
