I 'think' that you remove Samba, then run 'apt-get dist-upgrade' and
after this you then install the removed packages again.
However, why are you doing this ? Have you actually upgraded 'stretch'
to 'buster' first ?
You should not install 'buster' packages on 'stretch'.
I think your easiest and safety way around this is, add a new DC running
buster and the latest Samba from Louis's repo.
