Nothing wrong with being pedantic ;-)

I do not think there is anyway to find out the 'node type' of a Samba
machine, it seems to be a Windows thing. You should be able to find out
about 'Wins Proxy Enabled' by grep'ing smb.conf for 'wins proxy', by
default it is set to 'no'.
