[Samba] DNS failure

First try : 
sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade" 
and reboot. 
 
if thats not working, revert the kernel upgrade. Lets try to get the server running again. 
 
I'm  reading into this upgrade now.

This is not a nice one. 
 
can you check also this location. 
ls  /usr/local/samba/lib/ldb/ |grep *.so
check if the upgrade didnt do anything on the ext4 filesystem. 
 
Is apparmor enabled? yes, or disable it or check if the profile is correct the /usr/local/samba
