[Samba] Samba 4.8 RODC not working

Hi Rowland, 


I'm using systemctl provided scripts (sernet) : 


systemctl start sernet-samba-ad 


The config file is the one generated by samba-tool : 



[root at dmzrodc ~]# cat /etc/samba/smb.conf 
# Global parameters 
[global] 
netbios name = DMZRODC 
realm = ADS.MYDOMAIN.BE 
server role = active directory domain controller 
workgroup = FFT 
log level = 4 


[netlogon] 
path = /var/lib/samba/sysvol/ads.mydomain.be/scripts 
read only = No 


[sysvol] 
path = /var/lib/samba/sysvol 
read only = No 
[root at dmzrodc ~]#

How are you starting Samba ? 
You should just be starting the 'samba' daemon and this should start 
smbd & winbind 

Can you post your smb.conf
