Hello,
I am changing 2 x Gentoo/Samba 4.1 AD DCs for 2 x Ubuntu/Samba 4.7 AD DCs.
I have joined the 2 new DCs and transferred the role to #3.
I am performing sysvol replication from #3 to #4 quite happily with no errors.
I have left them for 2 weeks.
Windows desktops, etc. appear fine with no problems.
I now want to demote and remove #1 and #2 from the domain and network.
In preparation, I am checking replication and have noticed this error in the syslog for #3 which has the FSMO role...
May 25 13:20:16 dc3 samba[1051]: [2018/05/25 13:20:16.502266, 0] ../source4/rpc_server/common/forward.c:51(dcesrv_irpc_forward_callback)
May 25 13:20:16 dc3 samba[1051]: IRPC callback failed for DsReplicaSync - NT_STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND
...which is repeating every 5 seconds.
This error does not appear on the other 3 DCs.
I am concerned that #3 is not replicating automatically to #4 which is what we want.
Any ideas?
