[Samba] [maybe solved] What is the maximum speed for download from a samba share

starting from the  scratch:

Proxmox server -> openvpn - Samba VM
  VM new created Debian stretch  with standard smb config


download speed from root server
appr 9.5 MB/s
download speed via VPN /without samba
appr 2MB/s

Samba download speed aprr. the same as VPN

So I will not try to get the Jessie server quicker.
  I will change to stretch and try to get more speed via the VPN tunnel
After that an if samba is slower than vpn I will ask you again.
