Yes, winbindd also opens some of these files:
# lsof -p 5091 |grep secrets.tdb
winbindd 5091 root mem REG 254,2 45056 114151 /var/lib/
samba/private/secrets.tdb
winbindd 5091 root 9u REG 254,2 45056 114151 /var/lib/
samba/private/secrets.tdb
