[Samba] Which DNS to use for DHCP hostname/IP updates from non-AD & AD nodes?

I saw this earlier during my research and had planned to try using it 
once I read through the code. Seems fairly comprehensive (complex too). 
I'd like to understand better what it's doing and why. Thanks for your 
information.
