[Samba] WERR_NETNAME_DELETED

I suddenly have a replication error between my three DC's
samba 4.8.4 (tarball) on debian 8 and 9
DC1 with all the fsmo's can replicate to and from the others
DC2 can replicate to DC3
but DC3 reports WERR_NETNAME_DELETED when instructed to replicate to DC2

what is happening here? (I assume there's no emergency because DC1 can 
replicate to both of the others)
