Yes, you would need to setup a Unix domain member and join this to the
domain. Just an heads up, if you are still running a PDC, do not join
any of your domain computers to the AD domain, there is no going back.

Can I suggest you use Louis's packages, they are stable on jessie (they
even work on Devuan jessie)

They should work, but if they don't, post a level 10 log.
