[Samba] Samba 4.5.7 breaks my smb-servers on Fedora 25

Hai, 

Thanks for that extra explanation, that is known.
And good this one isnt in production yet. 

I ask because i've seen other reporteds this weekend with about the same problem and setting like this worked for them, by setting it explicit like that. 

And for others, that have there root (/ ) shared. A possible workaround.

About the VFS object, ( and Rowland correct me if im wrong ) 
The vfs object in Global loads some defaults based on what your running.  ADDC member etc.
By adding the extra in the share, may help in a correct load order, but yes you can add them also all in the Global parameters.
I personaly preffer to leave the defaults as much as is, and add there only where needed.
