[Samba] bug in smbclient (?) 4.2.x

around my initial problem with smbclient at backups:

tested with 4.5.3 as well, no success (compiled 4.5.3 without any 
ADS-features, just focussing on my backup needs now).

I find bug-reports around smbclient and its tar feature at debian etc

so this seems to be an unsolved issue.

pls advise, I can test things and provide logs etc
