OK, I will try ;-)
You can specify various things per user in AD, they do not all have to
have their profiles stored in the same place or even on the same
computer (note: this is just an example)
You can use the following attributes to specify the paths etc:
profilePath
homeDrive
homeDirectory
scriptPath
I think it is obvious what each attribute stores.
You can set these with a script or from windows, see here:
