This is always checked on all my machines: -->"5.Make sure that "Register this connection's addresses in DNS" checkbox is checked."
And really avast is running on the machines I will try this

Are your running more domains on this samba server, this is the primary domain? tplk.loc ?
The settings below looks good, you can try setting ipv4 preffered over ipv6 ( or disable ipv6)
You can try also it with a fixed primary dns suffix.

1.Open the Network Connections folder and view available connections.
2.Right-click the connection that you want to configure, and then click Properties.
3.On the General tab, in This connection uses the following items, click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and then click Properties.
4.Click Advanced.
5.Make sure that "Register this connection's addresses in DNS" checkbox is checked.
My first guest is a mismatch in primary dns, where to find more info..

Disable the P2P function, if lots of p2p are busy you can have strang problems also.

Which viruscanner is installed on that windows 10.
There are know problems with avast and the "secure DNS protetion"
( disable it )
fixed primary dns suffix would be my first option to try, and/or check.
