HI all,

Quick question (!):

Does the winbindd_cache.tdb file have any bearing on the output of "wbinfo -u"?

# rpm -qa | grep sernet
sernet-samba-winbind-4.2.11-20.el6.x86_64
sernet-samba-libwbclient-devel-4.2.11-20.el6.x86_64
sernet-samba-libsmbclient0-4.2.11-20.el6.x86_64
sernet-samba-ctdb-4.2.11-20.el6.x86_64
sernet-build-key-1.1-5.noarch
sernet-samba-libs-4.2.11-20.el6.x86_64
sernet-samba-4.2.11-20.el6.x86_64
sernet-samba-ad-4.2.11-20.el6.x86_64
sernet-samba-common-4.2.11-20.el6.x86_64
sernet-samba-client-4.2.11-20.el6.x86_64
sernet-samba-debuginfo-4.2.11-20.el6.x86_64

Two of my nodes return "0" for this command, other nodes return ~150,000 as expected. Does winbindd therefore use the cache initially and fall back to getting it straight from AD otherwise? How does it know if the cache is complete? Or does wbinfo -u always perform a complete lookup everytime it's run?

Thanks

Richard
