[Samba] Copy usernames and passwords to another machine

Dear Matthias,

Thanks for your reply.

I'm actually fine with all the steps you last apart from how to have the
"same Samba database on both servers".

Can anyone explain whether it is OK simply to copy the
/var/lib/samba/private/passdb.tdb from the first machine to the second one??

My concern with this is that I want both systems to be operational
afterwards, so the new machine has a different netbios name than the
first one? If I copy the account database as-is, will I encounter
problems due to SIDs not being compatible??

Best wishes,

Chris.
