Hmm, they should be, are you sure that samba, bind etc are running, does 
/etc/resolv.conf point to itself as the nameserver ?

If you didn't know about 'wbinfo -u' , you possibly don't know about 
'wbinfo -g', I will leave you to guess what this should display :-)
