[Samba] Can't get 'root preexec' to run

Rowland, aside from my last message to the list (and from talking about 
me in the third person), could you kindly elaborate a bit on why that 
is? I recognize that you have far more knowledge here than I have. I was 
just hoping that you share some of it with me.
