[Samba] question samba support share an NFS mount ?

I found contradictory answers  about to share an nfs mount.
Some say that is not correct, other say to export  nfs  with no lock
and to disable oplock .
oplocks = No
level2 oplocks = No
What is the truth?
If is possible  to use samba on nfs : What is the impact on performance? 
locks would work properly?
