[Samba] Where does Samba mount lan disk

Samba itself doesn't mount anything.  is it a usb drive or a network
drive?  what OS and backup software, and does it require a drive
letter or mount point?  does it even support what you're doing?  you
should probably start with the support for the backup software, and if
you did and they sent you here, you should share relevant parts of the
conversation.
