No defeat at all. You've done a lot of good work confirming this. 
Everyone else looks on in awe in that one day it may work with an 
external database. The positive points are that sssd is lightening fast 
on both dcs and file servers and you'll have the advantage of being able 
to use the whole set of request-for-comment attributes.
