[Samba] sernet 4.2.2 on debian Jessie - any reason why not to use?

sernet doesn't have packages on jessie so I downloaded the 4.2.2 debian source from sernet and 
rebuilt the packages on jessie. It required only a small change to debian/control. It installs and 
runs fine with minimal testing so far.

But maybe this is not advisable?? Am I just making trouble for myself? Maybe there's a good reason 
why sernet has not already done it?
