Hi,
I just updated my samba servers (debian wheezy, sernet samba4) from
version 4.1.12-9 to 4.1.14-9 and suddenly all my hp printers produce
errors instead of printing.
Kyocera printers are still working. HP printers all use HP Universal
drivers Version 5.9.0.18326 with snmp disabled. Errors occure from
Windows Server 2003 32Bit and Windows 7 clients.
Here's an level 1 log of what happens if i try to print an test page.
[2015/01/06 09:38:46.390992, 1] ../librpc/ndr/ndr.c:489(ndr_push_error)
ndr_push_error(7): Bad subcontext (PUSH) content_size 104 is larger
than size_is(0)
[2015/01/06 09:38:46.391316, 0]
../source3/rpc_server/srv_pipe.c:1395(api_rpcTNP)
api_rpcTNP: \spoolss: SPOOLSS_GETJOB failed.
[2015/01/06 09:38:47.802525, 1] ../source3/smbd/service.c:1130(close_cnum)
192.168.170.25 (ipv4:192.168.170.25:52295) closed connection to
service print$
Windows Print Monitor shows N/V in the pages row instead of 1/1 for this
single page print job which gets stuck in the printer queue.
Moving the hp printers to an windows vm now but i can provide level 10
logs and configs if someone is interested and above error message is
not sufficient.
Thanks in advance,
achim~
