No, I'm not. I'm running bind9. The server is also the primary (only,
actually) nameserver on the LAN. (Or will be.)

BIND is already set up to forward requests for zones for which it's not
authoritative.
I'm confused as to why any of that would affect how smbd advertises
what workgroup it's in?
