Hi Louis, I think you meant:

dig @127.0.0.1 tplk.loc axfr > /tmp/check-zone.db
named-checkzone -d tplk.loc /tmp/check-zone.db

Yours didn't work for me (allowing for domain name change), but changing 
it as I have shown does.
