[Samba] btrieve databse on samba3

Hi,

i host another app on samba which uses btrieve as backend.

I experience some trouble with those databases:

it works for 1 month, 2 month, maybe 6 month... then a db file goes
crazy (i/o errors from the client).

i read about not using oplocks for those db's, but those messages i read
where from 2000 or 2002.

anything changed about that?

does anybody have another thing to try for those shares?

i'm on centos 6.5

samba Version 3.6.9-169.el6_5

any hints would be welcome
