[Samba] NETLOGON Replication

Does anything special need to happen when copying them?

For instance can I just setup a rysync script and schedule it in cron to keep them in sync every 5 minutes?

Or does it need to be copied from a windows workstation from share to share to maintain Windows the ACL permissions, etc.?

Yes, it is the same problem (and one share is 'within' the other, which is why we generally just mention sysvol).
