[Samba] Maybe not related to Samba - Shares don't show up on desktop

Rowland,

Thanks for the clue. I had just read pages on Member Servers in the 
wiki, although it was for a different reason - related to shares - which 
is where I discovered the new-to-me term "member servers".

More reading and discovery.
