A few things you will want to check.

idmap check/conf?,  group, and wbinfo.

Have you done these checks and setup?

Here is my working conf.

idmap config *:backend = tdb
idmap config *:range = 11000-20000

[ADShare]
    path = /shares/ADShareTest
    create mask = 0775
    read only = no
    valid users = NRFDIST\gregc3, "@Domain Admins""
    writeable = yes
    directory mask = 775
