Hi
Sorry that this is just a 'me too' but I've been trying to get
information on failover too. This may give you some ideas other than
clustering as I believe that drdb will not wor with samba.

Evidently dfs can be used for this. I know it works great on windows DCs
and file servers but try as I may, I cannot get a single answer from
either the cifs nor samba lists on anything t do with it on samba. Here
is what I've tried so far:
