[Samba] dependencies for classicupgrade of samba3 with openldap backend?

Ok, got further (some tweaks to slapd and addition of openldap-clients on DC)...

So. I am to the point of having a functional DC, and have an existing samba3 domain to convert now.

Old domain is STANDARD, new domain is STANDARDSCHOOLS.

Is it adviseable to move to this new domain and somehow import all the user and machine data via LDIF import (if this is even possible) or to proceed with converting/migrating as outlined on the wiki?

And what is the best way to do a "dry run" without jeopardizing the production domain?

Thanks very much, please advise if more detailed info is required.

Having issues with not being able to bind with my openldap server...

Do I need to install openldap client tools and get the box set up to use it first?
