I have a small suggestion to change the wiki page

this info is not entrely correct: 

Installation Directory: /usr/local/samba/ Member Server Hostname: Member1 IP Address: 192.168.1.2 DNS Server IP: 192.168.1.1 DNS Domain Name/Realm: samdom.example.com NT4 Domain Name: samdom

A more complete example can be .. 


Installation Directory: /usr/local/samba/ Member Server Hostname: Member1 IP Address: 192.168.1.2 DNS Server IP: 192.168.1.1 DNS Domain Name samdom.example.com

Realm:                 SAMDOM.EXAMPLE.COM

NT4 Domain Name (NETBIOS): SAMDOM

 

! NETBIOS names max 15 chars

 

! REALM is always in CAPS ! 

! DNS Domain is not the same as REALM, but it can have the same name. 

 


Although your Kerberos realm can be any ASCII string, convention is to make 

it the same as your domain name, in upper-case letters.
