[Samba] CTDB crash on Ubuntu 14.04

I seem to have hit:

where the ctdb socket file is in the wrong place. We have got as far as
the IP takeover working fine, but only one db appears in:
/var/lib/ctdb/persistent# ls -l
total 1280
-rw------- 1 root root 1310720 jul 20 23:10 ctdb.tdb.0

Even though we have joined the domain, no secrets.tdb is created.

We have tried 2.5.1 from the standard repo and 2.5.3 from upstream.

1. Does anyone have ctdb going with 14.04?
2. If not, where would I find the build dependencies?
