Hi, I agree with Louis, this is not a sernet problem, it is a 'there are 
two testparm commands' problem and they do not agree with each other. If 
you run 'testparm -v' you do indeed get 'log level = 2' even if the log 
level is set differently, but 'samba-tool testparm -v ' reports the 
correct level.

I believe that this all going to be fixed in the up coming samba 4.2, 
along with a raft of other improvements, including being able to run the 
winbind daemon.
