[Samba] Samba4 acting as standalone server, smb.conf parameters and run daemons !

Can you elaborate on why you told Rowland not to start nmbd after starting
samba?  I haven't done this and don't plan to.  I am just curious could it
destroy or corrupt something by starting that process?
