I was initially looking at FreeNAS, prior to looking at FreeBSD.  They are
pretty negative about running FreeNAS in a Hyper-V VM.  Partly it's because
Hyper-V doesn't give VMs access to SMART data, but it's also that FreeNAS
is based on FreeBSD 9 and Hyper-V support wasn't added until FreeBSD 10.
