Some folks are looking to run Samba as an AD DC on a server that only
has zfs file systems, and so sysvol is on ZFS.

It shouldn't be hard to do, but currently the small patches required to
our provision script have not been done.

The task is essentially to detect that the file system is ZFS, to set
the vfs modules to include zfsacl in addition to the current defaults
(see testparm), to skip the posix ACL tests and to confirm a NT ACL can
be set.

Nothing in the AD DC specifically blocks this effort, it just needs to
be done by someone with the time, interest and a working ZFS file
system.
