Hi,

I'm interested in this topic so I checked the current status for supporting SMB3.0 spec
from the codes and the Samba wiki.
But I could not find out latest plans (schedule) for supporting each functions.

Could you please advise me how to find out those kind of the information?

Summary:
(1) SMB Transparent Failover
    No implementation in 4.1.6.
(2) SMB Scale-Out
    No implementation in 4.1.6.
(3) SMB Multichannel
    No implementation in 4.1.6.
(4) SMB Direct
    No implementation in 4.1.6.
(5) Performance Counters for server applications
I think this is a functionality which build in Windows.
(6) Performance optimizations
There is an implementation for large MTU.
(7) SMB-specific Windows PowerShell cmdlets
I think this is a functionality which build in Windows.
(8) SMB Encryption
There is an implementation in 4.1.6.
(9) SMB Directory Leasing
    No implementation in 4.1.6.
(10) Offload Data Transfers
    No implementation in 4.1.6.
(11) SMB Remote File Shares
I don't understand the relationship b/w this function and SMB spec.
(12) VSS for SMB File Shares
I don't understand the relationship b/w this function and SMB spec.

(*1) From (1) to (9), I picked functions from the following:
     http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh831795.aspx
(*2) From (10) to (12), I picked these functions with a Japanese site.
Sorry I could not find out it written in English.
(*3) Samba wiki

Best Regards,
Hisashi Osanai

There's registry settings, hinted at in
