[Samba] Terastation access from Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

Since upgrading from Ubuntu 13 LTS to Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, all attempts to access
my Terastation result in "cannot retrieve share list from server" in
Nautilus (both in browse network and in connect to server) or "incomplete multibyte sequence" with smbtree. I presume
samba got updated.

My Windows 7 Ultimate PC _can_ access this same Terastation, but I had to play
with LM authentication settings on the Windows 7 PC to make it work.
Windows XP didn't have this issue.

Where do I do this on my Ubuntu PC? I thought it was smbconf, but is
there somewhere else?

I expected issues accessing a Windows 7 PC from Ubuntu, but this
works as does accessing my LinkStation. I am somewhat surprised with
issues accessing a Linux-based NAS.

Or do I need an earlier version of Samba on my Linux PC? If so, can
someone post where I can find this?

Thanks in advance

Adrian
