If you don't have to change the IP and you stay on the same platform, I 
would suggest to install the same version, copy over the complete samba 
directory with all its databases and configs.


But if you do changes on the name/IP, I would join the new machine to 
the domain, transfer FSMO roles (if the old DC had some) and then demote 
the old DC.
