unfortunately i need to migrate an old and glorious physical samba 3.0
domain controller to a new virtual DC Windows 2008 R2 (VMware)
There are about 50 XP clients joined. Single server, no ldap, only tdb
I was wondering what's the best path to migrate clients without rejoin the
new domain and recreate user's profiles.
Admt to AD 2008?
Migrating samba3 to samba4 and then to AD 2008?
The preferred path is to have minimal or no impact at all on clients.
Samba version: 3.0.21b-1.1.3-SUSE-SL9.3
kernel version: 220.127.116.11-21.7-smp x86_64
distro version: SuSE Linux Professional 9.3 (x86-64)
Thanks in advance for any suggestion
