OK. It's just this one client; let's try something.
On this client:

-wait for some down time
-leave the domain
-leave it for 1/2 hour
-shut down all but the master DC
-rejoin the domain
-try again
If nothing, repeat, having upgraded the main DC to Samba 4.1
