[Samba] General question about sharing HP printers via Samba

Hi List,

We have a few HP printers here in the network. Some of them had been
shared on the old samba3 server as cups ps printers, some as raw cups
queues with windows drivers shared via samba.
Thought it's time to simplify thins and use universal drivers (which
works fine for kyocera and brother printers) with raw cups queues. With
HP Universal it seems to work well with Windows XP but when i connect
from Windows 7 (64bit) and try to edit properties the explorer dies.
Same happens with some HP printers if i use nonuniversal drivers. The
Universal Drivers work fine if i install em using an local tcp/ip
socket, problems only occure if the printers are shared via samba.
I wonder if someone on the list is using the universal drivers
successfully with windows 7 (64bit) and samba, and can share a few
experiences or tricks.

Thanks in advance
achim~
